Colin Gillespie/ Winter Issue

''I use my print making as a vehicle for making comment on social, political or environmental issues or events that interest or concern me.''

Colin Studies at Royal College of Art - taught at Middlesex University School of Fine Art - during my time there I established & led a BA Degree Course in 'Art Practice & the Community' - and also established and directed an Urban Studies Centre which involved art students in community based placement work. Since leaving Middlesex I have continued to make prints and been included in social practice in the mental health sector and in Care Homes - developing reminiscence and oral history work. I maintain a balance between 'own' work and social practice - finding both to give mutual benefit.
