A UK-based artist born in 1985, David Kirkman was introduced to painting by his late grandad, who encouraged him to try different mediums and styles. Predominantly self-taught, he creates from the heart and challenges with his mental health led him to abstract painting. David not having a formal art education gives him freedom to simply create instead of trying to find a balance between educational training and personal expression. Working primarily with acrylics, he creates big, bold, colourful paintings and mixed media prints. His work has been exhibited in London and the South East of England, as well as featured in online exhibitions and publications.
