''In my paintings I aim to express the emotions of people in love. I paint rapidly, using simple colours and brushstrokes, combining elements of abstraction with basic figurative forms. I avoid inconsequential details to give greater emphasis to the emotions and to make my work easy to view. I want to give pleasure to people who are not normally interested in art. I want to make the heart sing.''
