Igal is a visual artist working in photography, documentary film, and video art, exploring the boundaries between these disciplines through constant search and experimentation. A self-described flâneur, he was born in Krakow, Poland, in 1949 to Holocaust survivors and has lived in Bat Yam, Israel, since 1959. His artistic journey began relatively late in life.

In 2015, he created the documentary film Group Portrait, featuring short monologues by second-generation Holocaust survivors. The film was broadcast on Israel’s national Channel 10 and screened in several cinemas. His video art and photography have been exhibited both in Israel and internationally. He has received awards in various photography and film contests and festivals, and his photographs have been published in both print and online magazines.
