Mary Millner is a visual artist living in South London. She recently exhibited in the John Moore's Painting Prize and BP Portrait Prize. Mary runs the Larkhall Art Club an international shared opportunity for costume life drawing.
My painting practice starts with extensive research; current, historical, circumstantial etc . Then I do some sketches which I think of as 'stalking horses' for the painting which which is the 'real deal'. Unfortunately, I sometimes like the sketches or drawings as much as the painting.
