Olga Bonitas is former biotechnologist turned full-time creative, a watercolor artist and illustrator, a Top Teacher on Skillshare, and a leader of local sketch community.
Bonitas quickly gained notoriety and began to draw attention from art critics for her beautiful and intricate watercolor paintings. She started sharing her talent with the world by becoming a Top Teacher on Skillshare, an international online education platform specializing in courses for creative people.
In their artistic process, Olga Bonitas combines traditional watercolor techniques with experimental approaches. They often incorporate additional materials such as graphite, cut-out pieces, or colored pencils, adding layers of texture and depth to their artworks. This blend of traditional and contemporary elements creates a unique visual experience that invites viewers to explore the intricacies of each piece.
Throughout her career, Olga has participated in numerous exhibitions and art competitions, garnering recognition and accolades for her exceptional talent.
In 2023, she achieved a significant milestone by winning the prestigious A'Design Award in Italy for her thought-provoking poster series titled "War and Climate Change."
Olga Bonitas currently resides in Almaty, Kazakhstan, where she organized live art community "Big Journey Journal", within which meetings, open-airs, cultural events and workshops are held. Through her activity, many people come to love sketching and watercolor, to believe in themselves, and to keep a regular creative practice.
