Pete Clarke was born in the industrial North West of England in Burnley Lancashire. He grew up in the textile mill town of Nelson. He studied Fine Art at Burnley, West of England College of Art, Bristol and Chelsea School of Art, London. He works as an artist at Studio 4, the Bluecoat, Liverpool. Pete is an artist who explores the social landscape. There is a sense of looking and reading landscape, a tension between image and text influenced as much by reading poetry as by drawing and painting. This series of 'Dark days lockdown drawings' was produced in Covid 2020.
