Self-taught artist and passionate about Nature structures, Philippa’s work focuses on intimate and imaginary worlds. Somewhere between fantasy and memory and challenging our relationship with time and space, her work is an invitation for intimacy and somatic connection. Following her internal impulses and authentic expression, she explores techniques, means and materials to decode her own experiences and human nature. The result are layers and new languages, that beg to be touched. Philippa extends her research and exploration of layers, textures and (in)compatibilities into ceramics. In this new medium, she exchanges the usual vibrant colours to work solely with shadow. She has participated in several collective exhibitions and is represented in private collections, both in Portugal and abroad.
